Scott's return to the
PASS arena was a solid one with a lead lap finish in 8th
place after a
rough race.
The #84 time trialed in 12th place
with a 12.710 second lap compared to Johnny Clark's 12.464.
Scott started the second heat from the pole and stayed up
front to take the win from Gary Drew and Scott Watts.
Starting the feature in 12th next to Richie Dearborn, Scott
traded tire marks running from 10th down to 16th and then up
to 8th. The biggest scare of the night took place as
the #84 was pushed wide into the marbles coming out of turn
two and took a ride up the back straight wall - about half
the car being over the top of the wall.
The #84 landed with the steering still straight just as the
#88 of Russ Hersey drove over the #24k of Travis Khiel so
Scott headed for the pits for a quick damage check (middle
bottom shot). All was OK, so back on track Scott raced from
12th back to up to 8th, challenged by Jeff Taylor and David
Avery. |
